Hey ya'll, I know some of you have been asking me about getting a PO Box much like my friend
, and sadly I do not plan on doing so for quite some time, and here's why...
What you are seeing isn't just my office, it's not just my bedroom, it's quite litterally my home that I share with my hubby Sub Zero. It is a very small guest bedroom, where our bed almost takes up half the space. I simply do NOT have the room, let alone the wall space lol, to accept gifts from fans at this time.
Let's say I were to open a PO Box up, despite the lack of space, what do ya'll think will happen to all those amazing fan mails I get? More then likely they would end up in a box, sitting in the garage, until me and my husband buy our house and move out. This is NOT what I want to see happen to all those gifts though that the fans wanted me to share. Ya'll deserve better then that.
Which leads me to my next point.
Me and my husband are working very, VERY hard to save up money for a downpayment on a house! We found a nice quaint, quiet little community, with tiny little houses that would just be perfect for me and him to maintain. I had more then enough hope that once we settle into a new place, that is when I'd be confident enough to start a PO Box like Toonkritic, and maybe make it into a series just like he does.
I know some of you would rather I just start up one now, but my circumstances don't benefit either one of us. Plus it's crunch time, I need to save money on our house, not spend rent funds on a PO Box at this time.
If however ya'll still want to support me in other ways, here's a list on what you can do:
- Donate to my Patreon! My Patreon is there to help finacially support my channel and in turn supporting my bills and payments that will be focused on going to cons so I can vend, to make more money to buy my future house!
- Commission from me! My Commission Guide is avaliable in my Gallery! I'm always happy to work for funds and giving back creativly to all my fans!
- Make fanart on DA! I LOVE fanart and I always do my best to favor it or leave a message to the artist who takes time out of their day to express their creativity and love for my work!
- Send me a comment or PM on my DA, Twitter, or YT! I get these daily and I appreciate all of them! However...if none of the above is quite what you are looking for...then a last resort would be...
- Send a gift for me to ToonKritic's PO Box instead, and he can give it to me personally when we see each other at a con. However I don't really support this as an option. Toon's PO Box is for Toon and Cartoonz, not for Lightning Bliss. But Toon has expressed no ill will if people want to send me gifts to me as well as him. So that too is an option, however please be aware that I can only take in so many gifts under the circumstances I am in!
So that all being said. I really do hope to buy my dream house before the end of this year, but this will all depend on how well me and my husband save, how well I do vending at other conventions, how many commissions I get in a month etc etc. I work for what I want as well as need, and don't like hand outs. As my father used to say "If you want something, you have to earn it." But that doesn't mean I'm against one day opening a PO Box.
So in regards to all those questions of me opening up a PO Box any time soon? This will not happen until I have my own dream house! Until that day arrives guys, you can do one of the following listed above, or be patient until I make that annoucement of opening a PO box up!
