Lightning-Bliss

Hello everyone. I unfortunately have some bad news.

I’m not too good at sharing news of my personal life, but in the past I mentioned previously that my step father has been battling stage 4 kidney cancer since March of this year, either on my Twitter or my YT page, not sure about here, but alas. Sadly as of August 9th at 2:45am, he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

To which I must now explain to everyone reading, progress on new artwork & videos will be significantly slower in order to give me time to grieve. This has been a drastic, fast paced journey that has been riddled with fear and unknown, and now that it has come to an end, with an sad outcome, I will kindly ask everyone to have patience while I take the time to recover and spend time with my family and friends.

I want to thank you all for sending me your kind words & support to me & my family. It goes without saying that this community has a big heart & I’m forever grateful to be a part of it. As I know all too well though, sometimes we have to go though harsh thunderstorms in life. But give it time, and I know a rainbow will appear. I will be keeping an eye out for it. Thank you all.

So I'm not gonna lie! I had to ask for a none biased judge to help me pick the top three winners for this competition. It was simply that hard and I didn't want to go off based on the people I know, or close to, or picking because they are my favorite artists. Truthfully there were some really good pieces here, all original and creative. So I thank everyone for entering your pieces.

For honorary mentions we have:

@mlp-reality-check with their story compelled piece. I love the additional details to all the items Bliss gathered in the previous episode.

AngelLightYT with her amazing colorful universe piece. Very fitting to where Aeon is likely hanging in another plain of existence.

And lastly MythPony with her incredible animatic! Though this wasn't by her definition, a "finished" piece, I still consider it as a completed animatic and a true talent. Incredible work Myth!

And now without further ado, we have our top three winners!

Our 3rd Place Winner, give a big shoutout to DuskFlare1 with her amazing poster like art piece, catering to some of Aeon's friends. The quality to me personally is top notch, and worthy of being a movie poster in my book. Well done to Dusky Doo!

In 2nd Place we have FaithStar1121 and her signature piece of Aeon and his friends from Part 1. I love how she also included Sophia into the work, but still keeping a primary focus on Aeon as part of the requirement of this piece. Very well excuted!

And our WINNER of 1st Place goes toooooo....

Cavatina-MLP with her multiple emotional design and flavor of the competition taking the win! Based off the critique of my Judge (who I will keep anaonymous): "I felt the piece by Cavatina has the most personality and variety in emotion and expression in each character. It's simple but also clear and straight to the point. You can tell exactly what's happening here and how each character feels about it." I couldn't put it better, but I will try to add more of my own personal opinion. It does VERY well to imply the stress and emotional burden that all characters endure when trying to bring back their demon friend. I appreciate the consideration of the poses, the emotions of each character and the effects when going about bringing Aeon back. A very well thoughtout piece.

The time has come for summoning back the ultimate demon in Lightning Bliss's friend circle. Yes, part 2 is currently being edited and worked on and is hoping to be released before the end of April. And for this special video project, I am calling to all you artists who'd like to participate in this art competition to poltentially have YOUR art piece featured at the end of this special magic lesson episode! Will Aeon be summoned back? Or will Bliss fumble the spell? Will she find all the right items in time? Or will Sophia hold her word and take the book back? Only one way to find out! But until then, to help you artists preoccupy your time, here is the competition setup:

Rewards that will be offered for the TOP 3 WINNERS!

3rd Place - 800 Points ($10)

2nd Place - 800 Points ($10) and a Free Colored Image of your OC made by me! 1st Place - 2,000 Points ($25) and a Free Colored Image of your OC with a Background, made by me!

Up to 20 pieces will have an opprotunity to be featured at the end of the video in the credits section, along with crediting to your work! So if you'd like to participate, here's what will be required to enter this competition!

Requirements for Entry:

1. The art piece MUST include Aeon of Dreams in it. Other characters can be included as well, but he MUST be the primary focus of the image. (Bonus points if you include: Lightning-Bliss, the book, or some of his friends from the magic lesson episodes)

2. NO NSFW images accepted into this compeitition! No exceptions!

3. The art piece MUST be original! No copy/pasting of other peoples vectors or artwork (or my vectors for that matter, that's cheating!). Be original, be yourself, be creative.

4. All styles are welcome! But must be completed! Late pieces will NOT be accepted!

5. Only ONE entry per person please!

6. When uploading the art piece, be sure to title it "Summon a Demon Art Contest", and in the description, be sure to tag ME and AeonOfDreams in the description so that we can be notified of your entry.

7. All submissions must be uploaded, titled and tagged of me, by Deadline: April the 22nd before Midnight US CENTRAL

WOOOHOO Today's the day folks! Time to announce the winners for the Euphoria art contest! Gotta say... this was an extremely tough decision, to the point that despite AeonOfDreams and my best efforts, we actually had to have DRWolf010 come in as a third party voter to pick the top 3 winners.

SERIOUSLY IT WAS THAT CLOSE!

We literally had to come down to nitpicks and minor details to come to a final decision, but we are confident in our final picks.

Because there were so many wonderful entries, I did want to give out a Top Five shoutout before I get to the top three winners, because that's just how good a lot of these entries were! For honorable mentions I'd like to give a special shoutout to:

This piece truly captivated a unique style that reminds us of "The Last Unicorn" as well as "The Tweleve Kingdoms" anime that I couldn't help but admire. Truly an astonding piece that made it into the top five. I argue had it been fully colored it'd of likely taken the top spot as well! Great job to celdragon

This piece comes right out of a dream like feeling which both Aeon and I as well as DRWolf couldn't help and admire. The details for Aeon's book, to Euphoria's goggles and the wonder that comes in a display of careful use of color and elements to unite these characters in a magical way. It's truly captivating and made it's way into the top 5 as well. Great job to you IraeCoal

A starscape collection of Bliss, Aeon and DRWolf with Euphoria in the foreground, a true spectacle use of colors and starry landscape that gives off a beautiful constellation vibe that both Aeon and I could get behind. I also love the anatomy of this piece as well, showing off Euphoria's elegance. A very well done piece that made it's way into the top five as well. Awesome job to fluffdragonart

Starting to see a pattern here, but another wonderful constellation image with Bliss, Aeon and DRWolf, and I really love how the colors and lighting effects were used in this piece! Awesome job from you Marietably

Last shoutout of the 5 Honorable mentions, a shoutout to FaithStar1121 with the lovely details in the color and lightning to shape a rainbow heart in the background to compliment Bliss, Aeon and Doc with Euphoria protectively watching over them. We both love little touches like this. Great job!

Alrighty guys! Now for the winners! And here they are!

THRID PLACE GOES TO - AngelLightYT

This moved us so much that it made it to third place. With the careful use of lighting and color to display the magic, and the lovely details of including all three characters: Aeon, Bliss and Doc, in a magical story setup from none other then Aeon's book! Almost as if Euphoria is secretly watching over the three of us amongst the stars as our story unfolds beneth her. Awesome work!

SECOND PLACE GOES TO - MythPony

Trust me this was a hard call to make just simply due to the metaphorical representation of this piece. The entire artwork gives off the vibe of a "spiritual" connection that both Aeon and myself can relate to. Because that is what essentially Euphoria is, a special connection between two different beings, coming together to create something new. This would have easily been 1st place, but alas the first place winner did something that Aeon, Doc and I couldn't ignore. It was simply that close!

FIRST PLACE WINNER IS - DuskFlare1

Congradulations DuskyDoo! You are the winner of the Euphoria art contest and here's why! This piece gives off a strong sense of communion, not only spiritually, but religiously as well. Granted I consider myself a Spiritualist, while Aeon is a Witch, and even DRWolf is Mormon, but even we can agree that this piece relates to all our religious connections in such a way that it was still able to unite us all despite coming from different backgrounds. Which again, is something Euphoria is all about. A being brought together from very different backgrounds of two individuals, to combine to make something new in a powerful, beautiful union of friendship, love and trust. Congradulations again Dusk, you earned it for this original and well thoughtout piece!

To those of you who didn't see your piece get an honorable mention or a winning slot, please don't feel bad, this was a tough choice and sadly there can only be 3 winners here. But rest assure this fact: ALL entries of this contest will be showcased at the end of the "A Moment with Euphoria" video special, on my YouTube Channel!
